The American Irish Historical Society is a center of Irish American life in the United States. Housing one of the largest collection of Irish historical materials outside of Ireland, our objective is to record, preserve and tell the ongoing story of Ireland and Irish people in America and worldwide. The AIHS hosts a full schedule of public programing which includes lectures and literary readings, visual art exhibitions and concerts throughout the year. Additionally, the Society publishes a bi-annual literary and historical journal, The Recorder. Since its inception, the AIHS has been non-partisan, non-sectarian and open to, and inclusive of, all who are interested in Irish and American Irish history and culture. We encourage all to support the Society through membership and donations. Membership is an essential part of the funding and activities of the American Irish Historical Society. The American Irish Historical Society is a 501(c)3 charity. All dontaions to the Society are tax deductable to the fullest extent allowable by law. Please visit our Donate page for information regarding other types of donations including books, art, furniture, or real estate. In addition to the levels of membership below, students are encouraged to enquire after the special rates available to them.
