During a month long celebration of Irish American writer Edgar Allan Poe, featuring The Raven, featuring an immersive theater experience using augmented reality glasses, the American Irish Historical Society is excited to welcome sfiiinx, an experimental avant-pop ensemble which performs the music of Síobhra Quinlan.

Tickets Available Here

sfiiinx is an experimental avant-pop ensemble rooted in art-song, mythology and surrealism. sfiiinx is the music of Irish-American vocalist and composer Síobhra Quinlan. Síobhra will be performing a bespoke solo sfiiinx set at the AIHS on October 16th, as part of an evening of contemporary music and prose which will compliment the contemporary reimagining of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven. Síobhra will premiere a new piece in response to the work of Edgar Allan Poe through the prism of sfiiinx, and shed light on Poe’s Irish roots.

“Taking music to another dream-like world, soprano Siobhra Quinlan’s work transcends the imagination and expectations of the listener. Haunting atmospheres alongside soaring vocals in a wash of reverb-heavy textures are a staple of Quinlan’s beautiful compositional style.” –
