Dr. Lee Prosser , Curator of Historic Buildings at HRP

‘Royal gardens; a setting for the palace jewel’

Dr Lee Prosser has had a passion for history and archaeology since childhood. He took his first degree at the University of Wales in 1988, studying archaeology and Victorian Studies, before continuing with doctoral research on historic landscapes and buildings in his home town of Bristol. After further research and teaching he worked in commercial archaeology, leading a team recording historic buildings across the east of England. Through this work he became Curator of Historic Buildings at Historic Royal Palaces in 2003.
