“Never give all the Heart,” W. B. Yeats Poems set to Music

February 25, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The evening celebrates the launching of a new CD, "Never Give All the Heart," a selection of love poems by W.B. Yeats set to music.
Most of these poems were inspired by the poet's love for Maud Gonne, an English-born Irish revolutionary, suffragette and actress.
The performers, Laura Whittenberger (vocalist) and Peyson Moss (pianist) are both graduates of the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore.
Their combined talents evoke the sense of love and longing Yeats imparted through his words. The recital will be followed by a short reception with opportunity to purchase a CD.
Below is a YouTube link of the final recording He tells of a Valley full of Lovers; A poem by W.B. Yeats set to music by RaymondDriver which will feature in the recital.
