Filigree in Concert : Cancelled

April 22, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

| $25.00

It is with sincere apologies that we must announce that this concert has been cancelled.

Filigree, based in New York City, takes pride in being a powerful arrangement of players specializing in early music: flutist, mezzo-soprano, violinist, cellist and harpsichordist, where we each express ourselves within the context of this group through distinctly different voices.

As a group, we create programs centered on storylines that bring to life timeless universal human experiences. The organic materials of our Baroque instruments empower us to summon the healing elements of the natural world even within our bustling city.

The musical forms in which we play call both for the coalescence of instruments in playful and resounding unification, and for the free-flowing creation of the improvised solo voice. Through our music, we rally up fun dances, hold conversations, and freely exercise our voices.

Filigree, meaning a jewel work of delicate scrolls and arabesques, usually of gold and silver ornamentation, reflects the intricate detail that we bring to our music making.
