Annual Neil Shanahan Educators Seminar

Irish American Heritage Committee’s Annual Neil Shanahan Educators Seminar will be held at the American Irish Historical Society on Saturday 25 January, 2016. The Committee theme this year is: The People of Ireland in America: The role of Irish Nationalism in Education and The Arts with a panel discussion in relation to the 1916 Easter Rising Centenary.

The IAHC Committee was formed under the auspices of the New York City Department of Education over 40 years ago by public school educators in coordination with their teachers and administrators unions committed to the diversity of New York City’s pluralistic society. Its mission as a not-for-profit organization is dedicated to promoting among public school students and educators the rich heritage, culture and universality of the Irish and their varied contributions to the fabric of our city and to the United States of America.

All invite’s for the Seminar are managed by the Irish American Heritage Committee.
